This apple is best known for its huge size as its name suggests. It can reach a size of half a kilo PER FRUIT! Imagine that!

Appearance: Bears huge fruit which are yellow in colour with a green undertone. The flesh is firm and creamy yellow in colour.

Taste: The fruit has a typical apple flavour with a crisp taste loved by children. It was the most popular cooking apple in the USA for nearly a century as it could be used in both pies and puree.

Pollination: This variety belongs to Pollination Group 3. You will need another apple variety from either pollination group 2, 3 or 4 nearby to produce apples.
